this hymn talks about the journey one took before accepting God as their God. The imagery used is that of a man travelling in the desert, with no sense of direction. A man who is heavily burdened & thirsty. Their life seems to be oin comple…te darkness as they have no hope for tomorrow. As they travel, they come across things that promise to bring them relief, yet its satisfies them only for a little while. They then continue, until they come across an oasis of Oasis… This man, describes his encounter with God as a true fountain, one that quenches his deep thirst.

“Joale, ke bone sediba sa ‘nete, Sediba se maphodi, se monate.”

This reminds us of the words our Lord Jesus Christ said, as written in John 4:13-14 “Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again,

14 but those who drink the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.””

This hymn also describes the calling into Baptism and how that changes one’s life in a remarkable way. Kolobetso ie baptism is a calling from within. As the hymn says: ” Makhatheng a ho shoa, ka utloa lentsoe le re: Uena ea nyoriloeng, tlo metsing! Ha ke tadima, ka bona moroeroe: Ke Jesu! A mpitsa a eme sedibeng. Joale, ke bone sediba sa ‘nete, Sediba se maphodi, se monate.”

Wow! Personally I am truly grateful to His Grace. The following verse puts in words, what my heart & soul say in secret. “Ahe, kea u boka, Jesu oa ka, Ke le madibeng a mahlohonolo; Ke hlaphohile, ke tsoha molota; Kajeno ke ruile Khotso, nyakallo.”

Amen Morena.

‎@ Bongani, one cannot imagine the pain Abraham was feeling as he climbed the mountain with his Son. Its truly admirable that He was faithful nevertheless. Isaac, his only son by Sarah, a boy who was to be his heir, was to be sacrificed.

God…, seeing how humble & faithful Abraham was, provided the goat to be slaughtered as a sacrifice. This shows that Absolute trust in God avails much.

I believe, in seeing the goat, Abraham was so relieved & grateful to a point whereby one can say, he too would hold the following words dear to his heart. ” Joale, ke bone Sediba, Sediba se mapodi, se monate”See More
